Calling Live Venue Owners!

Leicestershire Music are looking to work in partnership with local Live Music Venues…

Grassroots venues are the beating heart of any local music scene and those in Leicester and Leicestershire set a great example; developing music, audiences and providing vital opportunities for local talent to showcase themselves.

Young people have told us that safe and authentic opportunities for them to perform and share their music are hard to find. We know you can't offer your venues, rooms and expertise for free, so we'd like to explore how we can work together to bid for funding to enable this.

All Live Music Venues in England are eligible to apply for National Lottery Project Grants up until September 2023, to support projects that help them bring live music to the public.

As the Lead partner in the Leicestershire Music Hub, we want to work in partnership with Live Music Venues across the county to bid for a Grant to help provide performance opportunities for the Young People that we work with (18 & Under), along with the chance to meet and learn from established artists.

We invite any interested venues to get in touch with a view to meeting up to discuss how such a bid could ultimately benefit Leicestershire's young musicians and the local music scene as a whole. Please email andy.wales@leics.gov.uk
