Recorder Schemes of Work
Leicestershire Music have developed new fully planned and video-led KS1 & KS2 Recorder Schemes of Work, in which children will be introduced to several key beginner recorder techniques, how to play their first notes and how to read and perform several short recorder pieces.
The units, pitched for KS1 & KS2 year groups, consists of 10 fully PowerPointed and video driven lessons covering a range of music curriculum outcomes and instrumental skills.
This low anxiety model of teaching, inspired by our highly successful music technology projects, doesn't require previous experience on the instrument or of teaching music. As this is a teacher led project, learning can be delivered across your school.
Due to the robustly produced teaching resources, classroom teachers can act as facilitators of the learning and learn to play alongside their pupils.
