Leics Sing Show Choir

Leics Sing Show Choir meets twice a year to work on songs and medleys from Musical Theatre and is open to all young singers between the ages of 12 – 18. With a focus on singing the choir will enhance whatever else you do in the genre whilst giving you the opportunity to work with different Musical Directors and performers from across the city and county.

Prior to the lockdowns the group had worked on music from Wicked and taken part in a workshop with cast members in the West End, The Greatest Showman was a residential weekend with circus skills workshops, and we performed on the stage at the Genting Arena in Birmingham as part of the Lest We Forget events in 2018.

This year we will be working on a medley from Les Misérables and are very excited to be working with musical director Martyn Axe.

Further details about this project will be posted here soon.

Originally from Leicestershire, Martyn worked on the West End before moving to New York where he has been working on Broadway - credits include School Of Rock, Saturday Night Fever, Mamma Mia, Nine To Five, Tarzan, and Dirty Dancing – Martyn has an ongoing commitment to music education and has collaborated with children's theatre organisations such as The Brooklyn Children's Theatre.
