Teachers' Choir

The Teachers' Choir is FREE and is for anyone working in education and those who have retired from a career in education and is open to all, no matter your singing experience. You just need to love to sing! We are an inclusive group of singers, and joining is a great way to meet other people in the profession, along with looking after your wellbeing.

We sing music from a variety of genres from pop to classical, musical theatre to folk with performances throughout the year, but you're welcome to just attend rehearsals if you'd prefer.

All rehearsals are at the Pavilion at County Hall. It is a fully accessible room, with an accessible toilet.

It helps if we know how many and who is attending the choir each rehearsal so please click here to let us know that you'd like to join. If we have your details we can share information about the rehearsals and performances. However if you just want to turn up to a rehearsal to find out more you are very welcome.

The National Teachers' Choir

The National Teachers' Choir led by Ula Webber and Baz Chapman will be holding their Autumn singing weekend in Leicester this year. The dates are Saturday 26^th and Sunday 27^th October and it will be at Brockington College.

The usual cost for this weekend is £94 including a meal on Saturday night and Sunday lunch but we have managed to secure a discount for Leicestershire Teachers choir to make it a very reasonable £60 for the weekend workshops and both meals – please contact nicola.atkins@leics.gov.uk for the discount code.
