Leicestershire Music are thrilled to be one of 4 Music Hubs across England chosen to receive Sound Connections 'Activate' funding. Activate is Sound Connections' investment programme for Music Hubs and Services to develop or deliver action-focussed work with their young people.
Leicestershire Music's 'Leics Connect' project is a new annual training programme designed to invest in, and develop the skills of, young people who are interested in a creative career. This week the 24-25 cohort met for the first time at the Cosmopolitan Arts Centre where they got to know each other and shared their aspirations.
Over the next 10 sessions they will meet professionals from across a range of music careers, learn networking and business skills, attend the Leicester music conference and produce and promote their own music event at a live music venue in Leicester.
