Meet the String Family - Demonstrations, Workshops and Performances

Join us at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery to find out more about playing a stringed instrument. This session is for:

- Young people that have never heard or seen a stringed instrument
- Young people that have been playing for a short time
- Any families and young people interested in finding more about learning to play a stringed instrument!

Come along and meet the Leicestershire Music fantastic string team, they love everything to do with playing a stringed instrument and will inspire you to want to have a go!

Listen and find out about the violin, viola, cello and double bass.

Have a go on an instrument during our interactive workshop. Select which instrument you'd like to try during our workshop and we will make sure we have an instrument for you to have a go on during the session. If you don't want to join in then you are welcome to sit and watch.

Enjoy a performance by the Leicestershire Music Intermediate String Orchestra, Charnwood Strings & soloists.
