The Bardi Orchestra's last concert of the 2017-18 season will be a very special event in the cultural life of Leicester, as it will also be the first orchestral concert in the newly-reopened and wonderfully refurbished Haymarket Theatre. The Seventh Annual Bardi Young Musician 2018, chosen from an auditioned field of young brass players from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, is 16 year old trumpet player Evie Dunn, who will play the virtuoso showpiece trumpet concerto by Arutiunian. She will be accompanied by the Bardi Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Paul Hilliam, and the programme will also include Beethoven's popular Symphony No 6 (The Pastoral), and Ravel's ravishing suite Ma Mère l'Oye (Mother Goose). For all sorts of reasons, this will be a concert not to be missed!
