Welcome to our Booking Page

In light of the new Model Music Curriculum recently announced by the DfE, we have improved our Booking Form to make it much easier for schools to choose and book projects.

The aim of the new Model Music Curriculum is to ensure a universal provision of music education, for all pupils in all schools. All KS1 & 2, pupils should receive a minimum of one hour of teaching a week; this may take the form of short sessions spread across the week.

How to Book

Click on the link below, this will open a new window where you can book your project in three easy steps;

Please click here to book your lessons

Step 1 - tell us how many sessions per week you would like to book.
(1 session is equivalent to approximately 45 minutes of instrumental teaching. We recommend 1 session per class / form group.)

Step 2 - tell us how many terms you would like to receive lessons for.
(Please note that we may have to allocate terms depending on our teaching staff availability).

Step 3 - tell us which instrument/s you would like your students to learn.
(Tick all that apply if selecting more than 1 session in step 1. Please use the second choice box to select a 2nd choice in case we do not have teacher availability on your 1st choice instrument.)

(If you would like your pupils to continue learning their instrument for a fourth term, please use the same booking form but use page 3 of the form to complete this information).

What is Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT) ?

Whole Class Instrumental Tuition (WCIT)

WCIT or Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET) involves weekly, 45 minute lessons being delivered to your whole class, so that all pupils in the class learn at the same time. Lessons take place in the classroom, led by our staff.

We aim to deliver a minimum of 10 sessions per term.

Lessons can be booked for 1,2 or 3* terms. We recommend 3 terms, to ensure that students are able to form a strong bond with music to help enthuse and inspire them to take their music making further.

We offer a variety of instruments - subject to availability. One instrument option per booking. A class set of instruments is included in the price and pupils can take these home to practice on - except Steel Pans & Taiko due to their size.

Pupils can receive WCIT for the first academic year (AKA First Access) and then move onto Progression, which follows the same format as WCIT but allows pupils to continue their learning journey and progress even further.

Both WCIT and Progression can be booked using our simple online form.

Please see our WCIT Brass video below to see and hear more about WCIT.

What next? How do WCIT pupils continue their Musical Journey?

When pupils have completed their first year of learning through Whole Class Instrumental Tuition, schools can book Progression lessons (sometimes referred to as Continuation) which build on the strong musical foundations pupils have developed during their first three terms' learning.

Our Progression lessons will further enthuse and empower pupils whilst providing them with the skills they will need to continue their musical journey by joining a school group, local music group or one of the many music making opportunities provided by Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service.

Progression can be for a whole class as per WCIT, but can also be for part of a class.
