Learning outcome
• To feel more confident in delivering high quality music provision for pupils with PMLD.
• To have a good basic understanding of the LSMS SEND Music Curriculum and how it can be applied, including PMLD specific units and general Units.
• To have a greater understanding of how to engage pupil's learning at an experiential level and how to select appropriate resources to support this.
The training will centre around the LSMS SEND Units of work offering practical ideas and giving examples of units, activities and resources for teaching music to pupils with PMLD. There will be opportunities to discuss individual needs and concerns or issues regarding music delivery to pupils who are learning at an experiential level. We will discuss engagement, accessibility and offering multi-sensory issues and tie this in to the delivery of the SEND Music curriculum.
