Join the University of Leicester Orchestra for a free, late-morning coffee concert performed side-by-side with musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra. The concert opens with Brahms's Hungarian Dance No. 5, a rapid and energetic musical firecracker that reflects the mercurial spirit of Hungarian folk music and closes with the finale from Dvorak's New World Symphony, deemed 'fit to shake the world' by Dvorak himself.Since 2010, the Philharmonia Orchestra and the University of Leicester have forged a special partnership that provides support to the student-led musical activity on campus. This includes coaching and practical advice for university ensembles, one-to-one instrumental lessons as part of an auditioned scholarship programme and marketing and programming support.

You can find out more about the partnership here.
