ESTA presents Pathways in Teaching with Simon Fischer February 2015

This February ESTA is offering four Sunday afternoon sessions for string teachers to further examine some of the many pathways in teaching. Each session will be presented by Simon Fischer, one of the UK's leading instrumental string educators. These sessions are designed for those wishing to investigate and/or improve their knowledge and teaching skills. Sessions will be held at the Primrose Hill Community Centre, London NW1 8TN 2.30pm - 5.30pm.

• 1^st February: Left hand part 1: Set-up of hand, fingers and thumb, finger action
• 8^th February: Left hand part 2:Intonation, vibrato, shifting
• 15^th February: Right hand part 1:Mechanics of the bow hold and bow arm
• 22^nd February: Right hand part 2:Key bow strokes and tone
