Blow the Dust off your Instrument: Orchestral Playing Day, including Recorder Consort

This playing day will give you the chance to renew your old skills or put new-found ones into practice in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The conductor will be Angela Kay, the Artistic Director of Music for Everyone, who blends expertise, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour.
The music has been chosen to give scope to players of all abilities and will include Johann Strauss' evocative Persian March, Eric Coates' nostalgic Summer Days and from Mussorgsky's well known Pictures at an Exhibition, 'The Old Castle'. There will also be items for wind band, string orchestra and recorder ensemble. The instrumental parts will be sent out in advance of the course, to give you time to get to grips with the notes ahead of the day itself.

4.45 pm Break
5.00 pm Informal concert for friends and family
6.30 pm End of course
