Afternoon Concert

A lively afternoon's performance featuring the LMCT Strictly Strings Ensemble, Junior Concert Band and Training Orchestra.
TRAINING ORCHESTRA and STRICTLY STRINGS will both start their rehearsal at Holy Trinity Church and we will provide a shuttle bus from Wigston College for those children who use the Saturday transport. Please arrive at Holy Trinity Church by 10.10am if you are making your own way there. Due to the way the rehearsals are scheduled, Training Orchestra students may be picked up from Holy Trinity at 11.30am returning back at 1.15pm. Students are of course welcome to stay at the Church between the rehearsal and concert.
JUNIOR CONCERT BAND will start their rehearsal at Wigston College at 10.00am and will all be transported down to Holy Trinity in the middle of the morning by one of our buses. They will then have a short rehearsal in the venue before the concert.
Students will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks as appropriate and should arrive in Concert dress ( black bottoms and white top, black shoes) for ease.
CONCERT
The performance will begin at 1.30pm and is expected to last until approximately 2.30pm. There will be no transport home provided as it is assumed that parents will wish to attend the concert. If anyone has any serious difficulties with this please contact me immediately. In the event of illness on the day please telephone the Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service emergency mobile number 07770 685 392. You would then need to get your music to another orchestra member.
Tickets are now available and are priced £5.00 Adult, £3.00 Concession and accompanied child. Tickets can be ordered by post – please send an SAE containing payment and your ticket requests to LSMS, Eastern Annex, County Hall, Glenfield LE3 8SA. Cheques should be made payable to: 'Leicestershire County Council'. Tickets will also be available on the door. (Tickets bought without a Stamped Addressed Envelope will be left on the door with the ticket seller.) Tickets cannot be bought in person from LSMS.
Parents are advised to allow time to find a parking space. Unfortunately, off-street parking around Holy Trinity is not good at this time so please allow time to find a parking space. There are multi-storey car parks on Welford Road (entrance on Duke Street, turn 2nd left off Welford Road after the Council offices then right and by the Phoenix Theatre. Parents are kindly requested to wait outside the main hall until 1.15pm, whilst the rehearsals are taking place.
