Sharing Good Practice: Yamaha Class Band Project

Our Yamaha Project is part of the European wide Yamaha Class Band Project which brings whole classes together for fun and inspiring learning. Designed to enable an entire class to form a band, each pupil learns to play a symphonic instrument during their regular music lesson. The Yamaha Project as we run it gives all Year 7s an opportunity to 'have a go' at learning to play a wind instrument. It is part of the curriculum and usually lasts for a '5 week' rotation and enables all 300 Year 7s to 'have a go'.
