Festival Strings & Band
Huge congratulations to all the children who performed in the Festival Strings and Band Concert at De Montfort Hall on Tuesday 9th June. It was fantastic to see so many young people on stage making music together and enjoying the experience of performing as part of a large ensemble.
Playing in a group is such an important part of learning an instrument and helps children to develop their musical skills, confidence and teamwork while also having lots of fun.
FREE Taster Sessions
We hope your child enjoyed taking part and felt proud of what they achieved. We'd love to invite them to attend two FREE taster sessions with their chosen ensemble on Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th June. Full details can be found below.
We are offering two FREE sessions on Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th June for the following groups:
- Snazzy Strings – 9:15am–10:15am (Beginners)
- Strictly Strings – 10:15am–1:00pm (Grade 1–4)
- JAM Band – 10:15am–11:30am (Beginners)
- Junior Band – 10:15am–1:00pm (Grade 1–3)
All rehearsals will take place at the Haymarket Theatre, 1 Garrick Walk, Leicester LE1 3AF.

Also Available!
Rhythm Rockets Percussion Ensemble (Grade1 - 3) meets on a Wednesday evening - 5:30pm - 6:15pm.
