'Understanding notation'– Covering the NC requirement to 'Use and understand staff and other musical notations,' this session will help you get to grips with everything you need to know and how to apply this musically in the classroom.

This online session will cover the early introduction of notation from graphic form, through to stick and dot notation, before moving on to standard notation taught in KS2. The session is designed to support teacher knowledge and confidence in fulfilling the NC requirements for notation and how to ensure these are taught musically within the classroom.

Cost: £10 per person This is Free to all schools that have booked at least 1 CIL (class instrumental teaching) - Schools that have not booked a CIL in 2025/26 will be charge £10 per person)

Suitable: All Primary / Special school teaching staff

Cancellation Policy - A full refund will be given if 28 days' notice of cancellation is received. Please contact LMTraining@leics.gov.uk should you need to cancel your booking within the 28 day notice period. If the cancellation is within the 28 day period, no refund will be given.
