Autumn Scratch Competition 2021

Students from all over the county have been fine tuning their Turntablism performance and freestyle skills for our Summer Scratch Competition.

Held online over the penultimate week of term and judged by Jon1st (Leicester-based World Scratch Champion), the competition saw entries from Primary and Secondary schools from all over Leicester and Leicestershire.

Entrants needed to submit:

• A performance from written scratch notation showing attention to musical detail and rhythmical accuracy
• A freestyle performance showing off their scratch techniques and musical flair

All students that entered showed secure technique and exciting promise as turntablists. We are pleased to share with you the winning entries for Primary and Secondary below. We hope you enjoy them!
