Bullfrog Arts virtual Taiko performance, live from Japan

(From Bullfrog Arts)

Last Thursday 11th March, Bullfrog Arts were part of a virtual performance of "ELEVEN" with Kaoly Asano and invited Taiko players from around the world, live from Tokyo Tower, Japan.

"ELEVEN is a piece written in response to March 11, 2011 when a massive earthquake struck Japan and thousands of lives were lost. Japan was in a state of confusion and sadness. ELEVEN came into being and gave Taiko players strength as they kept playing it. It built a pillar of sound and gave sound to thoughts and prayers. ELEVEN has become a symbol not only of that fateful day in Japan but a piece which creates the sound of life by connecting people around the world who survived hardships, held onto hope and continue to celebrate life and joy of living".

This piece has been gifted to our Bullfrog Performance group (our LAC group, and we have continued to learn the piece with them during Lockdown) We are incredibly proud of how far we have come as an organisation in The Taiko World, thank you for the part you have played in helping us to get to this point.
