Virtual Benedetti Sessions taking place between 11th -31st May - Sign up from Today!

TEXT FROM THE BENEDETTI FOUNDATION

Dear All,

We hope you and your families are keeping well and safe during these unsettled and troubled times.

It seems only yesterday hundreds of us were assembled in schools and concert halls - all ages and stages of life, making music and enjoying being together. Little did we know how impossible that collective experience would become, and so suddenly. We deeply and sincerely look forward to a time when we can experience this again.

In the meantime, we want to stand by and with you as we all navigate our way through new ways of engaging with our music and instrumental lessons.

We have been talking to a lot of people over this past month - parents, students and teachers alike - and listening hard to people's challenges and needs. Of course everyone's experiences vary greatly, but we decided we could offer something positive and so set out trying to do what we know best.

To that end, we are excited to invite you into our first ever Virtual Sessions - taking place between 11-31 May. We would be delighted if you would like to get involved.

These workshops will be filled with content suitable for a huge variety of level, and will be flexible regarding time commitment. We have tried to think of as many different perspectives as possible, and include activities and education suitable for the same.

I would be really grateful if you'd take a moment to read the information below, or follow the links provided.

We really hope you can join us in some capacity.

With warmest wishes,

Nicky

The Virtual Benedetti Sessions will provide musicians of all ages and stages, and from all over the world, with three weeks of consistent, scheduled online tuition.

The three weeks follows a regular schedule of live and pre-recorded lessons which can be embedded into or as additional extras to students' working weeks. We are confident we can provide plenty of substance yet fun, and a great sense of togetherness in being part of an event in which there will be thousands of other musicians and teachers from across the world.

FOR STRING PLAYERS GRADE 3-5ish LEVEL

Intermediate String Workshop

FOR GRADE 6 AND ABOVE:

Advanced string workshop

FOR MUSIC COLLEGE STUDENTS:

There is also a strand for conservatoire and university music students with a live chat weekly, adult learners/amateur musicians and two live chats a week for parents.

FOR ALL:

We have a truly inclusive creative Paganini project, open to all participants of the Virtual Sessions, parents, siblings and anyone else hanging around that can bang a pot or pan to join in, too. (Improvisation and basic rhythmic work will be taught throughout)

FOR TEACHERS

We will host two live sessions a week of professional development, live chat with Nicky and other tutors which also offers a chance for you to share and connect with each other.

We would also absolutely love everyone to get involved with the various repertoire and creative projects. There are no age limits to anything (except the live children's sectionals)

Our website (www.benedettifoundation.org/virtualsessions) has a clear breakdown of each workshop.

The sign up links and full information is on our website: www.benedettifoundation.org/virtualsessions.

Sign up is open from Friday 1 May 9am UK Time and closes Thursday 7 May 9pm UK Time.

There is no cost to participate - we are dedicated to keeping all our online work free of charge and accessible to all. However, we are a registered charity and in consistent need of support. We are asking those participants who are able, to make a donation when they sign up.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please do get in touch. We ask you to contact: info@benedettifoundation.org with any queries and one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this and we hope to see you all in the Virtual Sessions.

Very best wishes,

Laura
