Echo Factory is an industry-facing, creative arts institution based in the Cultural Quarter of Leicester (UK) offering degree programmes in contemporary music performance, music business, and related arts industries.
Our degree programmes are innovative and practically orientated, based on the changing needs of the modern music / arts industry professional, striking a balance between discipline specific & cross discipline learning. Crucially, we recognise that students need to be able to create their own pathway into industry, which is achieved through tutor-led project work and supported work placements, underpinned with relevant taught theoretical, cultural and business knowledge and reflection.
As part of a process of staff consolidation and expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Music Business Tutor to join our core delivery team. The successful applicant will support the development of an undergraduate programme and will take a key role in its delivery supporting curriculum development and academic administration leadership at module and course level.
Applicants will be expected to have a subject relevant academic profile and be able to demonstrate equivalent industry-based credentials. HE teaching experience will be evidenced, and relevant post-graduate level qualification is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate experience and knowledge across at least two of the following areas:
• Working with Music and Musicians
• Pitching a Product
• Music in the Global Context
• Creative Industry Start Up
• Marketing Music
• Music Projects in Practice
• Setting up a Music Business
• Music Promotion
