Wanted - Classical Guitarists for Storytelling Masterclass

Posted: Tue, 07 Feb 2017 12:05

The BBC Academy are looking for two classical guitarists - Grade 3 (ABRSM or Trinity) or above - to take part in a Storytelling Masterclass with Mark Ashford as part of their BBC Leicester 50th year celebrations.

Any interested students will need to bring a piece of music that they can play through confidently. This will need to be a named piece with its own title, rather than a study, ie, a title that might form a basis for a story. Mark will then work with the student and audience to compose a story based on the piece of music, along with helping to work through the piece.

Tha Masterclass will take place at 12:15pm on Saturday 4th March at BBC Leicester and will last for approximately one hour. Applicants will take part in the session for around 15 - 20 minutes each and there will also be a performance from a student from the Conservatoire.

To register your interest, please contact Fran Acheson at the BBC Academy on 07739920495 or email fran.acheson@bbc.co.uk
