Are you performing the BBC Ten Pieces or working with young performing groups who could do with some extra support and inspiration? The new BBC Ten Pieces Coaching Scheme could be for you!
The BBC Orchestras and Choirs and the Ulster Orchestra are offering free coaching from our professional musicians for youth performing groups aged 10-18 year olds across the UK.
Who is the scheme for?
If you work with young musicians aged 10-18 years old and you think our musicians can improve their musical experience and performance skills, we want to hear from you. We are inviting expressions of interest from schools and organisations in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland including Ten Pieces Champions, Music Hubs, Music Services, NI Education and Library Boards, or any other organisation working with young musicians.
What we can offer you?
This is a way to bring something new and special to your music making. Tell us what you want to achieve and our professional musicians will help you on your musical journey. Our musicians will share their knowledge and expertise with aspiring young performers nationwide.
Through the scheme we can offer Instrumental Coaching from professional orchestral musicians from the BBC Orchestras and Ulster Orchestra as well as Vocal Coaching from the BBC Singers, the BBC's professional choir. Whether you are working with singers or instrumentalists, we can also include support for music leaders and conductors to be part of these projects. The scheme is suitable for schools, local and county youth ensembles.
Please do make sure the schools and music groups you work with know about this exciting opportunity! Visit the Ten Pieces website to find the eligibility criteria and to download the expression of interest form which needs to be submitted by Monday 21 November 2016.
We hope you will take up this opportunity to apply and do pass it on to any groups you feel could benefit.
All the best
