Echo Factory Seeks Instrumental Tutors
Posted: Mon, 22 Aug 2016 10:17
Echo Factory is a specialist music institution offering two validated degree courses in Contemporary Music Performance (BMus Hons) and Music Business (BA Hons). We are located in the cultural quarter in the centre of Leicester in a newly refurbished venue, rehearsal and practice spaces and studios with café/social spaces: we open our doors in September 2016.
The curriculum across both degree courses fuses musical expertise and passion with entrepreneurship and through shared modules encourages students to develop interests across commercial, professional, social and creative fields to sustain their future working lives. At the centre of the BMus Contemporary Performance is developing musicianship to respond to the broad ethos of our provision.
We are seeking to build our teaching team who can contribute to this innovative approach and wish to recruit tutors who share a commitment to working with students developing their skills, technique and repertoire to the challenges of music making professionally through a three year programme.
We are inviting professional musicians with teaching experience and a commitment to working as part of a team to submit their CVs and a brief cover letter (one page) with a view to interviewing those who meet, or mostly meet, the criteria:
- Graduate or equivalent
- Professional Practice
- Expertise/knowledge across music genres
- Familiarity with assessment
- Ability to teach 1:1 and workshops
- Excellent communication skills
We invite applications across the range of instruments and while we might not require your particular expertise this teaching year, we non-the-less would welcome your application with a view to using your expertise in auditions and building our cohort 2017-8 and beyond.
We have a particular interest in Drums, Vocals, Sax, Bass and Guitar.
