MUSIC LEADER VACANCY - Percussion

Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service (LSMS) have the following vacancy:
One Music Leader to teach Percussion (preferred specialisms: samba and glockenspiel)
37 hours per week, for 41 weeks (annualised hours = 1517 hours per year) on a permanent contract to start work in September 2016.
First and foremost, we are seeking a specialist percussion teacher who is passionate about music in education.
We want your enthusiasm and expertise to inspire young people, through teaching in a large group / classroom situation (Whole Class Ensemble Teaching or WCET).
The role will also require teaching smaller continuation classes to pupils who have completed a year of WCET who wish to continue into a second year as well as running Area Music Centre (after school) sessions.
Most of the work takes place during a school day, but we do need people who can offer some flexibility in their working patterns to support our "out of school hours" programmes and our performance programme. The majority of our performances take place either in the evenings or at weekends.
The salary for a Music Leader is based on a Grade 10 (Full time salary range: £26,319 - £29,562).
The actual salary will be pro rata of this salary range indicated. For an applicant with less than 5 years Local Authority service starting in September 2016 the post will be 0.9 of a full time equivalent. For those candidates with more than 5 years continuous Local Authority Service it will be 0.92 of a full time equivalent.
