LeicesterShire Schools Music Service is the lead organisation of the Leicestershire Music Education Hub. Our role is to ensure that the four core roles outlined in the government's National Plan for Music Education, and the more recent Schools Music Education Plan, are implemented. We are looking for a Strategy Development Manager to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, innovative and visionary music educator to join the LeicesterShire Schools Music Service and play a key strategic role in the LeicesterShire Music Education Hub. As an inspirational leader, you will work with partner agencies to develop a strategy for access and inclusion, breadth and diversity in music education.
As a successful music educator, you will oversee the staff development programme for Area Music Leaders and Music Leaders, including the development of a robust quality assurance and improvement plan. As a strategic leader, you will convene meetings of music education professionals, working with partner organisations and schools to develop strategies in line with the National Plan for Music Education. As an emotionally intelligent leader you will play a full role in the Service Leadership Team.
