Want to Sing in a Richard III Choral Work?

The county's schools music service is seeking young singers to help perform a new choral work about Richard III.
The music service commissioned the British composer Philip Wilby to write the music for the piece and poet Ian McMillan to come up with the lyrics.
The work, called The Shoemaker and the King, is for singers aged between 14 and 19.
The plan is to form a large group from school and community choirs throughout the county and rehearse the work in June before performing it for the first time at Leicester Cathedral on July 11.
