The Chamber Ensemble of London, consisting of 14 string players, will be performing at Loughborough University's Martin Hall on Saturday 25th November. Performing alongside Jacqui Dankworth, renowned storyteller and narrator, the two will showcase a classical concert not to be missed.

Jacqui
is known primarily for her work as a jazz singer but her experience spans across multiple genres, performing alongside the likes of Paloma Faith and the Brodsky Quartet.

Directed by violinist Peter Fisher, who the Times has previously described as one of "a handful of the world's finest musicians", each of the string players has been handpicked as one of London's finest, with their repertoire including romantic, classical and new music.

The programme for the evening is as follows:

Rimsky-Korsakov: The Young Prince and The Young Princess (arr. Kreisler/Fisher)
Clive Jenkins: The White Bird, an old Dartmoor Legend
Alan Ridout:Ferdinand the Bull
Saint-Saens: Danse Macabre
Telemann: Don Quixote (Suite)
John Dankworth: Tom Sawyer's Holiday

The Chamber Ensemble of London has performed at multiple venues, including St James's Piccadilly and The Purcell Room. They have also attended numerous festivals and music societies outside of London.
