Music Lesson Planning & Network Meeting for SEND Teachers

Our next planning session and network meeting will be held on Wednesday 10thMay 2017 at Nether Hall Special School, Keyham Lane West, Hamilton LE5 1RT

Please note that we have put both these meetings on the same day so that it is only one afternoon out of school. It would be great to see you at both meetings but of you are only available for one of them then please do still come.
Support with Planning 1:00pm - 3:30pm
Please bring a Medium Term Plan / Scheme of Work with you. It will be helpful if you bring a couple of hard copies and a digital copy.
Network meeting: 3:45pm – 5:15pm
Updates on the SEND provision from LSMS – 20 mins
Focus on SEND singing - 50 mins
- Learn singing teaching techniques whilst learning the song Shiny Big Balloon from Where the River Flows – Led by Aimee
- Share a song that works well with your pupils. Feel free to bring along a song to share with others at the network, it will be helpful if you can let teachers know how to access the song. Eg which book / resource it is from. Please note you will not have to sing the song if you are not comfortable with this.
- Discussion of VocalEase package available to SEND schools
- Sharing good practice of song composition – Led by Robbie Hesketh
- Collect your FREE copy of Where the River Flows singing resource.
