Becoming an Effective Music Coordinator Session 2 – Composing, Improvising and Doodling

In this session we will explore how to harness children's creative explorations and help them continue to grow these ideas as their musical ability and skills develop.
We will explore the importance of modelling creativity and having a safe environment where the children can take risks, and how to develop their skills which are integral to their musical behaviour and thoughts.
NB: Music co-ordinators new to the role will receive ongoing support throughout their first year of CPD.
This is suitable for EYFS/KS1/KS2 - Music coordinators and lead music teachers in Primary, SEND and PRU settings.
The Becoming and Effective Music Coordinator course is made up of the following 5 sessions:
1 – Using musical instruments in the classroom (28/01/21)
2 – Composing, improvising and doodling (11/03/21)
3 – Using technology in primary music education (29/04/21)
4 – Music across the creative curriculum (13/05/21)
5 – Singing and vocal work (17/06/21)
Sign up to all next 5 sessions at a cost of £100 which includes a baseline Quality Mark meeting and a Quality Mark review, plus a certification of completion.
Delegates who wish to only sign up for individual sessions can do so at a cost of £30 per session (please note if all 5 are booked you will only be charged £100 otherwise you will be charged £30 for each session)
