New Primary and SEND Music Coordinators CPD
Date: Thu, 19th Nov 2020, 16:00 - 17:00
Venue: by Zoom
Price: Free
Suitable for Early Years / KS1 / KS2 This session will introduce you to what is expected within the role of a Music Co-ordinator in a Primary and Special school. By the end of the session you will be armed with ideas, free resources and the knowledge to lead music with confidence, and an understanding of how the Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service (LSMS) can support you. Why should I attend? You may be feeling daunted, excited, apprehensive and may wonder why you have been given the role of music coordinator, particularly if you don't class yourself as a music specialist! In this session you will meet other new music coordinators in the same position as you, as well as staff from the music service who are here to guide and support you. You will be in a safe environment where you can freely ask questions without embarrassment. What will I get? By the end of the session you will know about the National Plan for Music Education and the tools required to lead and deliver music in your school. We will share information about singing, curriculum development, and instrumental opportunities. You will also have a network of music coordinators who can support you, along with continued support from LSMS. |
