The Spark Arts for Children are looking for 3 Leicester primary schools to get involved with this choral residency, working with inspirational Brazilian composer and percussionist Adriano Adewale on the theme of animals. This follows Sonic Portraits in 2017 (a video of this project is available on the Spark website.

The residency will take place in May 2018 with workshops taking place in school over a two week period leading up to half term and aimed at children in year 4. The resulting performance will be part of the Spark Festival 2018 in the week of 21 May. The school contribution will be £300 plus transport costs for the performance day.

Please email with expression of interest to Sarah Share at sarah.share@leics.gov.uk by 24th November. The project is subject to confirmation of funding in December when next steps will be announced.
