Singing Opportunities

If you are looking to join a choir or a singing group to develop your singing skills and perform to an audience then the Leicester-Shire Music Education Hub has a wide and varied choice of groups and choirs to choose from.

Whether you are looking to sing choral works, Gospel, Urban, or show tunes then there is a group to suit you.

Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service Central Choirs

Junior Voices
If you are aged between 7 and 13 and enjoy singing, why not come along to the Junior Voices.

The Junior Voices (CITY) meet every Thursday during term time in the Hall at Tudor Grange Samworth Academy, (formerly Samworth Enterprise Academy), Trenant Road, Leicester, LE2 6UA, from 4.30pm until 5.30pm.

Autumn Term Rehearsal Dates

September 15th, 22nd, 29th
October 6th, 13th, 27th * (20th Oct Half term - No rehearsal)
November 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
December 8th * No rehearsal on 1st Dec as performing at DMH

The Junior Voices (HINCKLEY) meet every Tuesday during term time in the hall at John Cleveland College, Butt Lane, Hinckley LW10 1LE, from 4.20pm until 5.20pm.

This group is part of the Hinckley Music Centre members also have the opportunity to play in the steel pan group and attend music theory lessons.

December 13th - 'Rainbows Christmas Concert' 7.30-9.30pm St James the Greater Church, London road, Leicester (Both CITY & HINCKLEY Junior Voices)

Youth Voices
If you are aged 13 or over, why not come along to the Youth Voices. The Youth Voices do not rehearse weekly but are brought together to perform in special one off events during the academic year, such as The Shoemaker and the King at Leicester Cathedral and The Last Plantagenet at De Montfort Hall.
