National Youth Jazz Orchestra Concert - Live in Leicester!

The National Youth Jazz Orchestra is a glittering showcase for the UK's finest young professional jazz musicians, combining a hard-swinging rhythm section and hugely talented soloists, to bring you the very best in British big-band jazz.
The performance on Thursday 21st April at The Venue, De Montfort University celebrates women in jazz; from the songs of Ella Fitzgerald and the 1930s trumpet stylings of Valaida Snow, to contemporary classics by band leader Maria Schneider and bassist Esperanza Spalding. We are excited to highlight the great music of jazz musicians who happen to be female!
Tickets are £12.00 standard and £5.00 for DMU and concessions.
The tickets can be bought on the door (cash payments only).
People can reserve tickets in advance by emailing a request to music@dmu.ac.uk. DMU can then reserve seats as required. Reserved seats must be paid for on the door.
