East Midlands Single Reed Play Day

Venue: Stamford Arts Centre 27 St. Mary’s Street, Stamford, PE9 2DL, Lincolnshire
A day of ensemble playing for clarinets and saxophones in a single reed choir directed by John MacKenzie with guest tutor Jeffrey Wilson.
Ensemble playing on the day
• all participants will have the opportunity to explore the best of the single reed ensemble repertoire.
• parts are not sent in advance so you need to be prepared to sight read the music on the day. You should be at least
Grade 5 or equivalent level to get the most out of the sessions.
Booking information
• indicate if you play Eb, Bb, Alto, Bass or Contrabass clarinets or Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone and Bass Saxophone and can bring these instruments to the day.
• indicate your playing standard.
• bring a packed lunch – tea, coffee and squash available
• bring a music stand!
Cost
• The fee for the day is £25.00 per person
• Concessions - CASSGB members £20, students £15.
